The noble varieties that go into
Diemersdal wines are grown under optimum conditions in deep
red Hutton soils on the slopes of the Dorstberg. Slowly ripened
to perfection in dryland vineyards by cooling sea breezes
from the Atlantic Ocean, the grapes develop concentrated flavour,
creating elegant wines with prominent varietal character.
“We’ve got the natural advantage of different
aspects, slopes and soils which produce wines that are distinctly
Diemersdal,” says Tienie Louw.

Die edel druifsoorte wat Diemersdal gebruik groei onder
optimale kondisies in diep rooi Hutton grond teen die hellings
van die Drostberg. Die druiwe word perfek op hul eie tyd ryp in
droog-land wingerde gepaard met die koel see bries van die
Atlantiese Oseaan. Hier ontwikkel die druif gekonsentreerde
geure wat 'n elegante wyn maak met prominente druifsoort
karakter. "Ons het die natuurlike voorkeur van verskeie aspekte,
hellings en grondsoorte wat ons wyn uitsonderlik Diemersdal maak"
sê Tienie Louw.
